Women's Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (WHZJU), also named as Zhejiang Women's Hospital and Zhejiang Women’s Health Care Hospital, is a first-class specialized hospital of obstetrics and gynecology in China and a renowned women's healthcare guidance center, which is dedicated to offering state-of-the-art medical care, delivering high-quality medical education and advancing pioneering scientific research. Since the establishment in 1951, WHZJU has all along practiced the hospital motto of “Holding a benevolent heart, delivering high-quality medical care, seeking the truth, pursuing innovation”, and has been the site of outstanding breakthroughs that have improved the health of women and their offspring throughout China and other countries around the world.

Currently, there are 1120 beds and a total of 2011 staff members at WHZJU including nearly 600 physicians, over 800 nurses. Our high-caliber doctors and nurses focus on blending the latest medical technology with specialized expertise to diagnose and treat patients, making WHZJU a nationally-known referral center for the most complex cases in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecological oncology, reproductive endocrinology, neonatology and breast surgery, with 1,500,000 outpatient visits and 80,000 inpatient admissions each year. WHZJU has been ranked consistently as one of the top hospitals in China, and is listed No.5 in “Reputation of the Best Specialized Hospital in 2018” and “Scientific and Technological Influence Power in 2018”.
